This was inspired by a Brown Thrasher that I observed in my yard. I am always so amazed by the abundance of wildlife that I have right in my own backyard, which is not that crazy on its own, but I live in the city of Atlanta, 10 minutes from downtown and in a densely populated area. The idea is to illustrate how birds and wildlife have adapted to more urban environments, and invites viewers to reflect on the impact of human expansion on wildlife and the subtle, yet profound, cohabitation that unfolds daily, hence the abstract backdrop with human-made elements like words, patterns, etc.
The artwork serves as a reminder of the adaptability of nature and encourages a dialogue about conservation and coexistence.
