"Fight or Flight" was inspired by blue jays observed in my backyard. The overarching theme of this series is to showcase the impact of humanity amongst wildlife. Taking a step further though, blue jays display fierce loyalty and protectors for family members so this piece symbolizes a guardian for family and home as it captures the tension between defense and devotion through imagery and composition, reflecting themes of strength and care.
