So this is the part where I am supposed to introduce myself from a third person perspective, but I don't really want to bore you with the traditional formal bio, pretending that someone else wrote some super impressive things about me, so here's me in a blender and hopefully this will paint a little picture for what makes me tick:

I like to make things. I’m an artist, an illustrator, a designer and a maker, but not necessarily in that order. I love my family...and tacos. I'm the husband to my beautiful wife and partner in crime, the father to a very rascally little boy and the owner of two very spoiled and terrible dogs. I'm an urbanite who loves the hustling, bustling melting pot of the city, but I also love animals, nature and being outside, and getting away from from it all. I love music from almost every genre and banging on things that make a lot of noise (some might call them drums), but I am a sucker for a good, face-melting guitar solo. I like expensive bourbon, cheap beer, and red wine with legs for days. I like old, vintage things, power tools, the smell of sawdust and digging in the dirt, but I also love random pop culture and trying to keep my finger on the pulse of technology (although I do have a legitimate fear of robots taking over the world). I believe in science and reason, but I equally believe in magic and whimsy. I love storytelling and meeting new, interesting people from different corners of the globe, and I love how we can use food to connect with each other. Raised in the South, I spent a few early years in Texas, grew up Memphis, TN, went to the University of Mississippi (where I hold a BFA, btw), had stints in Jackson, MS and Nashville, and now I currently call Atlanta home, but I love to travel and have found many amazing and inspiring places above the Mason-Dixon line and across the pond as well. I believe in equality for all, respecting your elders, and good old-fashioned hard work. I like to think high in the clouds as well as deep down in the cracks, but I try not to spend a terrible amount of time in either, as it can distract from embracing the present. I'm an extroverted introvert and my Enneagram number is a hard 4 if anyone out there is into that kind of thing. I don't sit still very well and I tend to get lost in my head, which can be both a blessing and a curse. I like to play and experiment with different techniques, subject matters, mediums and materials, and wake up every single day with the urge to make something with my hands...and I get pretty grumpy when I don't. I have a lot of interests and a mind cluttered with curiosity and I just want to get it all out as quickly as time allows or as fast as the paint can dry.

In a nutshell I'm just a guy who doesn't really fit into any one box, with a busy head, big heart and callused hands, trying to figure out how to share stories through my art, hoping to leave the world a little better than I found it and meeting some good people along the way.
