I worked in the restaurant industry for many years, everything from a dishwasher to a pretzel maker to a corporate restaurant trainer. Then eventually as I moved over to the advertising side as an art director, I became very interested in food as a medium itself, with an abundance of amazing forms, colors and textures and really figuring out how to dial into the craveability of the food, "to eat with your eyes" as they say in the business.
In addition to that though, I'm interested in using food as a vessel to tell deeper, more meaningful stories about life, culture, tradition and the overall human experience.
In this body of work, my goal is to not only showcase the craveability of food, but to also have deeper (or hidden) meanings behind what you might take at face value.
More coming soon!
